Darren Trew – Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants
Darren has been working as an Accountant within the profession since 1982 (after graduating from the University of Melbourne and then obtaining a grounding at the international accounting firm - Coopers & Lybrand), and has been a principal in the practice since 1993.
He has a wealth of experience in the business sector, dealing with business sale negotiations, business coaching and consulting, including operating and selling of a substantial number of successful businesses.
Darren enjoys just about any sport and is actively involved with triathlons and skiing. His greatest achievement is his family - wife Ann Marie and two children. Darren is passionate about small business and is highly regarded in the firm for his knowledge, patience and mentoring skills.

Jen Brady- Administration
Jen is married with two daughters in primary school and has been a “stay at home” mum for the past 8+ years. Having been out of the workforce for so long Jen really enjoys coming to work and she says it is the highlight of her week.
Jen’s professional history ranges from the early days as a filing clerk and receptionist right through to an executive PA to a CEO. Jen then came to a fork in the road with her career and, after completing some training, accepted a position as a total quality improvement manager within the manufacturing industry.
Jen’s role at Darren G Trew is administration and reception. Jen is very good at organizing events and managing databases as well as looking after client’s needs.
Jen has a passion for good quality produce, cooking gourmet meals and sharing the results with family and friends. Jen also has a part time catering business. In her spare time she loves to read and socialise.

Kerry Twyford - Office Manager
Kerry joined our team in August 2009 and has fitted in with ease. Her background includes Administration and Customer Service Management experience in a variety of industries, from manufacturing to professional services.
Kerry's role is to ensure the office runs smoothly on a day to day basis and provide administration support to all team members. She handles accounts, all our Company Secretarial requirements and meets and greets all clients who visit our office.
With her outstanding organisational and communication skills, Kerry has quickly established strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
Outside of work, Kerry coaches elite level netball and enjoys watching all sports, reading and socialising with friends.

Graeme Kent - Accountant
Graeme joined the firm in August 2008, with a broad range of accounting, taxation and business services experience gained over a 15 year period. From Gippsland originally he has obtained vast experience on the primary production, retail, hospitality, finance and resource sectors.
Together with his accounting qualifications his interest in finance and investment has led him to complete his Diploma of Financial Planning. He is also a qualified business coach and has owned and operated a business coaching franchise in Canberra.
Graeme believes as accountants we should offer more than just accounting and taxation services. He aims to provide a a complete overview of a client’s affairs to make informed decisions regarding their personal and business outcomes in the short term and to enable them to make long term decisions to achieve financial freedom and lifestyle security for the future.
Graeme is married with two children and lives in the Bayside area. His interests include rugby union, football, cricket, camping, fishing and wine appreciation. He is active in the community with memberships to the MCG, Old Scotch Collegians Association, Edithvale Life Saving Club, Mentone RSL Swimming Club and the Aspendale Cricket Club.

Theresa Lam - CPA
Theresa has over 10 years experience in business services. Since joining our firm in 2007 she has been involved in all aspects of accounting and tax work with a specialty in superannuation. Theresa currently takes care of all compliance matters for over 60 self managed super funds using BGL software and deals directly with the auditor and clients to resolve any issues..
Theresa is married with two children and in her spare time enjoys shopping, dining out and family time.

Christine Lawson- Bookkeeper
Chris has been with the firm since 2005. Her role involves all aspects of bookkeeping with experience in MYOB, Quickbooks and Cashflow Manager accounting software. Chris also has specialist skills in the preparation of income ax returns and financial statements, monthly and quarterly IAS and BAS, client liaison and dealing with the Tax Office on client matters.
Chris is married with three children.

Leanne Taylor- Bookkeeper
Leanne is a very enthusiastic and organized member of our team who has been with the firm since the introduction of GST in 2000. She has a very good knowledge of various accounting packages including MYOB, Quickbooks and Cashflow Manager. Leanne has specialist skills in the training and implementation of business accounting software systems and is often out on site with clients either training them or carrying out their bookkeeping duties.
Another one of Leanne’s skills is her ability to resolve client issues directly with the Tax Office and spends a lot of time on the phone to the ATO.
Leanne always ensures you are provided with a top level of service at all times and has received great feedback from clients.
Outside of work Leanne loves socializing, traveling, cooking and scrapbooking. |
